Travel Tips

Travel always brings with it the excitement of seeing new places and meeting new friends. But you'd be surprised that it's not as simple as others may think.
The rule of thumb here is that it is always wise to be prepared at all times to avoid inconveniences on a very perfect holiday sojourn.
Check out a few simple guidelines that we have prepared for you to make your trip easier and worry-free.
  1. It is advisable that you double-check the validity of your passport and visa, if required. Also check if it's duly signed. Before departing, fill in the emergency information page of your passport.
  2. It is always desired to read the consular information sheets and travel warnings before proceeding to your destination of choice.
  3. Familiarize yourselves with the laws and customs of your destination. Different countries have its own unique sets of laws. Remember that you are also subject to these laws.
  4. Make two copies of your passport identification page. This will facilitate replacement if your passport is lost or stolen. Leave one copy at home with friends or relatives. Carry the other with you in a separate place from your passport.
  5. Always leave trace of your whereabouts (itineraries) to your family and your friends so they may know where you are in case of emergency.
  6. Do not leave your luggage(s) unattended, or accept packages from strangers.
  7. Deal only with authorized agents when you exchange money or purchase art  or antiques.
  8. Try not to wear conspicuous clothing and expensive jewelry, nor carry excessive amounts of money or credit cards to avoid being a target of crime.
